Hi Experts,
Wind 2012 R2 Std.
SQL Server 2012 Ent. Edition.
2 node Active/Passive cluster.
A new LUN was just added to cluster for sql db backups.
We need to add that disk in the SQL cluster and modify the backup jobs to place the backup files in the new drive.
Do we need downtime for this activity ? Can we add the disk on the fly in SQL Server cluster ?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Jayanth,
Thanks, added the disk and changed the resource group also to SQL Server.
I don't see any issues as such and is visible everywhere. The system is live now, hence couldn't failover and test.
Keeping an eye on it. Thanks again.

Windows 2003 used to require a restart of the clustered sql server resource when adding a disk as a dependency, Windows 2008 onwards doesnt
