Hi,
I have a new install for SQL 2005 on 64 Bit, set up a mirror to another server and I can not create a maint plan on the Principal.
- I am logged to LOCAL server. Just in case also tried connecting to the local server by name in Management Studio
- Management tools including Management Studio, Profiler etc are installed. The installation has a mix of BINN directories (by default) under C:\Program Files)\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Tools\Binn C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Tools\Binn C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Tools\Binn C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Tools\Binn
Is the server get confused between the directories?
- Error message when clicking on New Maintenance Plan:
===================================
The action you attempted to perform on a remote instance of SQL Server has failed because the action requires a SQL Server component that is not installed on the remote computer. To proceed, install SQL Server 2005 Management Tools on the remote computer, and then try again.
