Can not connect to sql server

  I am using the Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and i have an SQL server on the network (obviously)

  I can't seem to connect to it when i use the "Browse for Servers" option. I can see a few other servers but this one for some reason just doesnt show up....

  I tried rebooting the server and th laptop that i am using. I can connect from my desktop but can not seem to get the connection to show up on my Laptop.

  Any Suggestions?

  Can you connect if you type the name in directly? If it is a named instance, check to see if the SQL Browser service is started on the server.
