Can not connect to any database with Mgmt Studio

    Hi, I have been using SQL Server Management Studio for 2 years now. Today, when I click on a registered server I can not connect. I have tried, reinstalling SP2 client tools and deleting and trying to re-register a server, still can not connect.

    Also tried to run FIX on .net framework...

    Error is very long:

    Microsoft .NET Framework

    Unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application.

    CryptUnprotectData: Win32 error:-2146893813.

    Google did not help much.

    have you tried deleting and re-registering your server connection?

    Yes I did.

    The solution is to go to connection properties and re-enter the password for each registered server.
