I made a mistake and deleted everything in a table.
No big deal right, I could just go to the nightly back and restore it. Well, not really apparently the nightly back up hasn't been run against my database for 12 days.... despite being told by IT that they back up all the databases nightly.
So the question is can I undelete the data from the table some how?

Hopefully you are running your database is full mode, because that is the only way you can recover from the accidental delete now. If not, there is no way to recover the data, if so, do an immediate backup of the data and then you can try a point in time recovery. There are some programs out there that can read the log file, however, you have to be in the full mode so the transaction logs are saved. in other words, if you are running in full mode, you have options, if not, well, you should impress upon your IT shop the importance of backups and I suggest you talk to your DBA as to why he doesn't check the backups of an operational database system.

Ya, it's in Simple mode so I'm guessing that's the end of trying to recover the data... 🙁

Well at least you know what to do now to prevent this in the future. Work on a backup plan. If you have questions there are plenty of articles, help here and applications to help you out.
Good Luck!
