... and excuse my ignorance 🙂 , I just don't know.
In the past, I've combined server side traces with Perfmon successfully, which is pretty useful, I know that. I would like to do the same with Extended Events, so I can correlate and analyze the server side as well.
Anyone?
Thanks in advance,

That's one piece of functionality that didn't make the transition into the GUI for extended events. You just can't do it.

Thanks for reply Grant.
Wow, that was useful. It's a shame.

It's the only thing about Trace that I miss. Other than that, extended events is better in every possible way.

Totally agree!
I just performed a brown bag at work (2 weeks ago) and explained how to use Extended Events. My co workers, which by no means are Jr DBAs , had zero knowledge of it. One of them was still using Traces and via GUI, which has even more overhead.
In the past, long time ago, I've seen slow SQL servers going down just because a Jr. DBA decided to run a SQL Trace and via GUI.
Anyway, a feature that I will miss too.
