I got SQL Server 2005 Management Studio successfully install and now my Enterprise Manager installation is hosed. When I try to open EM I get an MMC snap in error and EM comes up looking like an MMC shell only.
Anyone have any insite? I still have a 7.0 box yet to be retired so I still need the old tools.
Thanks
Ryan

I've got both SQL2000 and SQL2005 on my box at work without any problems.
I don't think it will be SQL2005 that hosed EM because SQL2005 does not use MMC.

Thanks David. I was nervous about repairing my EM 2000 installation until I heard about a successful coexistence. I just reinstalled/repaired EM 2000 and all appears to be fine.
Thanks for the quick response. RH

I'm about to install 2005 on my desktop, and notice that it wants to install into the same folder that 2000 is in ( C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server ). Should I let it go there, or create a subfolder SQL2005 to point it to. If it accept the default, should 2000 EM and 2005 Management Studio work side by side ?
