bypass snapshot for merge replication

    Hi all,

       We have a scenario is like this.. we have main sqlserver contains a operational db of size nearly 45gb.. and we need set merge replication at other 4 sqlservers situated at different geographical regions.. Since db is of bigsize ,applying a snapshot over net on other 4 sqlservers is taking hours (even a fullday) ..so i would like to know

       a. Is there any way to skip the snapshot , by restoring the latest backup and setting the merge replication to propogate the subsequent changes alone over net...?

    I don't exactly remember which step but when you are creating the publication you will be asked if the destination server has already the data in and you have to say YES to that one then perform the restore on your subscriber and run the synchronization
