One of our database instances has a buffer cache hit ratio that dips below 90% for 10 minute periods. What can be the cause of this? It's sql 2005 SP2, small user db (~ 200mb), 3GB ram. Should I be concerned? Thanks,

It's very hard to say what causes a dip in cache hit ratio. In fact it's difficult to work out when sitting in front of the server with full access to it.
If it happens regularly, is there something that runs at those times? SQL Job? Scheduled windows task?
May I suggest profiler/SQL Trace to see what's happening and correlate it back to the dip in cache hit ratio?
