Bring Db into NoRecovery mode

    Hi all,

    Is it possible to bring db, which was restored with recovery, into norecovery mode to apply log backups or should i restore it again with norecovery?

    You have to restore it with norecovery again.

    Been there, tried it, both ways even (NO RECOVERY to RECOVERY, RECOVERY to NO RECOVERY) and neither can be done. Once you set the recovery method that's what you are stuck with unless you start all over again.

    If you have restored the last tlog backup with norecovery there 's no need to start all over again. Just execute restore log device_log with recovery and that 's it.
