Hi, What & why is 'bounce sql server'? how to bounce it?

It means Reboot.
Or drop it from 5 feet and see if that resolves the issue.

wow,simple! so in a cluster environment, i can just failover the services and reboot the machine, am I right?

Simply put - yes. BUT (there always has to be a but:-)) any processes running, connections which may be doing anything will fail while the server fails over and SQL Server on the clustered side takes over.

Just reboot the node it will automatically failover any services, no need to do it manually!
