Books and Training Materials for SQL Server 2014 SSAS Tabluar

  • Hello, I have Google and Amazon searched foe books and training materials for SQL Server SSAS Tabular, and I find 2012 SSAS Tabular, and pre-order for 2017 materials. Is there anything for SSQL 2014 SSAS Tabular models? Would at this point, would a 2012 SSAS Tabular book work just as well if little change in in figuring our slight differences between what they would be teaching? Any online training materials available? Many thanks, JPQ

Haven't seen any new books on the Tabular Model and the Tabular Modeling in Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (2nd Edition)[/url] will be released on March 4, 2017 according to Amazon.

    😎

It is worth while keeping an eye on sqlbi.com[/url] which is run by the authors Marco Russo and Alberto Ferrari, it is frequently updated and has loads of good stuff on the subject.

Gosh... none of the items that pop up when you search for "ssas tabular model tutorial" help?

RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

Change is inevitable... Change for the better is not.

These seems to be for 2016. Not sure how different that can be, then again, I'm considering 2012 materials to address my needs.

To add a twist, I'm having to work with Partition tables, which at this point seem to be an added layer of insult to injury. Not really sure yet if using the partition tables module is a natural part of Tabular models. If anyone can help clarify, that would be helpful.
