It depends on what topic you're after. Certainly, the book Koen recommended above is excellent. If you want a collection of chapters by different people on various topics, the SQL Server MVP Deep Dive books (volumes 1 and 2) are good. Itzik Ben Gan has an excellent book on windowing functions. Grant Fritchey has a great book on reading SQL Server execution plans.
I would figure out the specific topic you want to read up on and check out the books available for download on this site. You can explore elsewhere, this SSC has a really good collection.
One thing is certain, I know there are more books out there that I want to read than I have time to read. 🙂
