BOL Hyperlink Not Working Issue

  • I have SSS2008 R2 installed on my desktop (Windows Vista 32bit) and my laptop (Windows 7 64 bit) and the Hyperlinks in the copy of BOL on my laptop all return the message below where as the hyperlinks on the copy of BOL on my desktop work as expected.

The URL within BOL that shows the below is ms-help://Hx/HxRuntime/NavFailPage.htm?keywords=""

Sorry, no topics were found for the selected link.

I've searched Google and hear and have found numerous postings for this but not one solution/answer other then the suggestion to do an explicit search in BOL for the info you are searching for. Some of the postings are from as far back as 2008 and some as recent as 2011 so this is not an unheard of problem but strangely enough there are no answers.

Anyone know anything more about this BOL Hyperllink issue?

    Thanks

  • I would recommend not using the local copy and always use the online copy anyway. There are frequent changes and updates to the documentation and your local copy will not have those changes.
