Blocking Processes?

  We have a SQL Server 2000 instance with SP4. We saw many messages logged in the error log like "Process ID <> owns resources that are blocking processes on Scheduler <>." We further found this message related SPID4, a backup process for Lock Monitor. No significant resource consumption was seen by SPID4 process. OS application event viewer logged the messages but not as a warning or error. All computer resources were normal and no performance issue was reported when the messages were occurring.

  I did not see helpful information with the internet. Can anyone shine some light on this?
