Bloated file while exporting to Excel from SSRS

  Hi,

  I have a report that has around 10000 rows . When I export to excel, the excel file is very big, around 15MB. On opening the Excel file and saving it, the size of the file is reduced.

  IS there any fix for this?

  Any suggestions on how to reduce the file size of the exported Excel file. I would prefer to export it to excel rather than CSV format.

  Any help is appreciated.

  What kind of report is this?

  Can you create a summary report and sub-reports with fewer rows?

  It seems that a report with 10000 rows is very difficult to read and comprehend.
