Hi,
One of my server shutdown and rebooted mysteriously.
It was later pingable but the server was not accessible
by SQL (or) by SMS/RDC.
Once it was available, I saw couple of mysterious things
which does not make sense to me? Can somebody clarify this:
From the Application Log:
The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( BigBrotherClient ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: Started Big Brother SNM Client 1.08b.
Failed to CoGetClassObject for provider "CIMW32Ex". EXE has error in image (0x800401F9).
Anybody come across this error?
Thx

Big Brother® is a Web-based systems and network monitor. A universal color-code interface of "red is bad and green is good" allows anyone to measure the health of a network at a glance.

it's a software package from Quest; it implies that that package was the source of your problems...maybe it cauysed an error and forced a reboot?

Thanks for checking this out.
Don't know that's the cause. There were MS hotfixes installed at 11am and the server rebooted unexpectedly @ 1:48pm.
BB is installed on the server and the service is running. I checked that out. Funny thing is when I tried to look at the Log folder it was empty!!!
