Can it be that I can't reply to my own post?

Yeah, I dont know where 80x80 came from. On the other hand, if we make it bigger, the display wouldnt look as good? Shouldnt be hard to accept PNG. I'll look at all your stuff tonight and have fixes up tomorrow.

Yes, I can reply to my post.
Consider this no big thing, but what would have been really nice is a feature that phpBB has. That is, I (the member) can specify the timezone I live in.
However, I like the new forum software.
As for performance:
I haven't noticed a boost in performance. I suspect the plus I can now see is due to the fact that overall activity now is not that high.

Sorry, it's me again
Just noticed that some profile information for location (in Snitz 'City', State' and 'Country') were not converted.
Btw, the notification mail feature isn't yet activated, right?

Email is turned off for now, will test that last. What we've done for the new forums is hide all email addresses - if you want to send email to another member you have to do it via private message, from there we pop out a notification. Try to cut down on the spam resulting from spiders picking up the addresses. Eventually we'll purge the entire site except for a few public contact addresses.
I'll look at the location data.

Few things notices.
1. Login / Sign Up options remains in Top menu even after I logged in.
2. Top Menu font size & colour combination should be improved.
3. I edited my profile. On ssubmitting changes (actually no changes), I get an message next to Login email saying "* Required!Invalid Email Address". But It also shows message "Profile Successfully Saved" on the top.
4. Entire Page is not visible together. One needs to use scrollbar.
5. Is "Watch This Forum" equivalent to "Subscribe to This Forum" feature ? Then My Subscription should also be renamed to "My Watch"
6. Search option should be always available like current site's top left hand corner.
But overall, very nice interface for forum.

Thank you for the comments Amit! I'll be looking over all of those things, hopefully today and tomorrow. I'll be posting an update today to fix some of the formatting issues, probably by 12 EST.

Frank, can you test uploading PNG again?

Frank, what would you want us to do if we did store your timezone?
On performance, wasnt really thinking it would be better, just hoping for not making it worse!

Amit, the login/join options on the menu should be hidden if you're logged in.
Everyone, I've fixed most of the formatting issues with stuff running off the display to the right, please let me know if you see anything still broken.

Andy,
About the stuff running off the side. The login page is good. The list of forums is also good. But when I click on any forum and go to the list of topics, it runs off the right side. The individual threads are okay. It's just the list of topics within a specific topic. (Click on Question of the Day, the next page goes off the right side).

Good catch Bill. Should be fixed now. The description of some of the longer article/columnist forums was causing it to run wide.

Consider this thinking aloud and more of a wish!!!
What phpBB is doing with the time zone information is, that each date information like when post was made, last visit.... is adjusted according to this stored time zone information. I admit that it might be contraproductive to performance when dealing with a large number of members and heavy activity.
But for people like me, that are not used to the AM/PM style of displaying time (the majority I think haha) this might be a plus.

It's not.
