Hi,
We have a log shipping server. It just contains all the log shipped databases in standby/read only mode.
We want to upgrade it from 9.00.1399 RTM enterprise edition to SP3 enterprise edition.
What all precautions should i use before upgrading?
Do i have to configure log shipping all over again after upgradation.?
according to schedule, In the night after 8pm the log shipping is stopped until 6am in morning, so is that time good for upgrading ??

Sushant

backup your system databases, disable log shipping copy and restore jobs. take SQL down and make a file copy of resource database.

no. don't forget to re-enable jobs though if you disabled them.

Careful, this is most likely when your reports are being run against the server. Always make sure you over-notify people that the server is going down.
