Best Practices for Table partition in 2005

    Guys

    Can some one provide the best practices to implement Partitioning in the SQL 2005.

    Right now in our environment we are not using it .

    if we want to implement it what configurations or options would change on OLTP System.

    please provide some light on me.

    Kimberly Tripp has a good whitepaper on 2005 Partitioning

    It does not specifically go into what you should do for OLTP partitioning (not in a top 10 things kind of way), but it talks about the things that you should consider when defining table partitions and will probably help out.
