I want to know if this can be done in SSRS and what is the best practice for this if so or if not.
I have an app that currently uses several screen interfaces for selection criteria to send and retreive SSRS reports. The screens are built with .Net technology and the report result is displayed in a iframe within the .net application.
Please note there is also some meta data displayed in the selection screen to guide the user to make the correct selection.
The challenge:
- The selection screens are not consistent between the reports. Some reports share the same selection screen (if they have the same parameters) while others have individual selection screen. Ideally I would like a dynamic selection screen that can be a common interface to all reports - providing consistent user experience.
I am a little pressed for time so appreciate a response on this as soon as possible.
Thanks in advance,

As I haven't got a response yet let me be a little more specific in my question can you have tool tip like selection completion prompts as in a Google search for Parameters? For example say I am choosing products in a product list and there are thousands of products but I know I am looking for "ABC Widget" as I begin to type in my parameter text box the letters A-B-... SSRS suggests values via tool tip like view which I can choose an option and the selection list becomes more narrow as I provide more letters in the item name.
If this can't be done using SSRS what is best practice for trying to do this sort of thing.
Thanks,

My guess is this functionality can not be done in SSRS so the implementation of a .Net solution for parameter input appears to be the solution of choice. Thanks for those who had a look at the post appreciate the attempts.
Cheers,
