best practices for maintaining transactions logs for log shipping

    what are the best practices to maintain transaction log sizes while in log shipping mode?

    how do you ensure that transaction logs dont grow to unwanted size and if they do how to reduce the size without affecting log shipping configuration?

    It all depends on how busy your DB Server is. If it is a high transaction based Server, then I would recommend a transaction log back up with a 10 min interval. This will keep the back up size also small.

    We keep ours at 10 min interval.
