Best of SSC

    Every time I come across a really cool article on this site I think to myself, "man, I need to find more articles like this!!".

    If I'm looking for something specific I just use the search function. But often times I stumble across articles by mistake (Jeff's tally table article). I don't think I would have ever found that article by myself had I not stumbled on it.

    If there was a best of ssc section or hall of fame (whatever you call it) where someone like me can find all the best or highest rated articles/blogs etc. I think that would be pretty cool. I'm assuming there's plenty of good stuff out there that I and many others have never read because they don't know the content exists. If I have never heard of tally tables or RBAR how do I know to search for it?

    I apologize if this functionality already exists. I have yet to find anything like that. Seems like it would be very beneficial though.

    Try searching this sight for "Best of SQLServerCentral" and only show articles.

    You got to be kidding me. It does exist. And it's even called Best of SSC. :hehe:

    Oddly enough, the Tally Table article has never been published in any of the "Best Of" books. The last one that I know of is #7 and it was publshed in November of 2009. Lots and lots of absolutely incredible articles have been published by many authors since then.

    Gosh, thanks, Jason. :blush:

    My real point was that they haven't done a "best of" since "way back then" and that a lot of excellent articles will be missed if you search just for "Best of SQLServerCentral".

    I also agree that, like anything else, if you don't know about something, how would you know how to ask? The Tally Table article is like that... if you never heard of one before, you'd have to get lucky with a search on "CSV splitter" or some such.
