Best Companies To Work For ---> India - MS SQL DBA

  • Hi All,

I want to know which are the companies have huge SQL Server Setups and the best Employers / Best Payers in India for SQL DBA'S.

Hope to hear from all of you.

    Thanks in advance.:)

    Regards,

    Raj

  • where are you working currently? Tell us the reasons why you ask this question.

  • I thought that it will be a better if i will get a long list from all of you SQL DBA Gurus.:)

  • Go thru some of the top Job sites in India like http://www.monster.com, http://www.naukri.com, http://www.timesjob.com

  • 🙂

  • Depends, go thru their Website and find out their clients, projects........

  • Highest Number Position Opened in A Year For SQL Server DBA

    1. Wipro Infotech

    2. Wipro Tech.

    3. TCS

Like the above, any body have any list????

  • Raj there are lot of good companies to work with. Infosys, Wipro, TCS , Satyam are the top cream. There are 1000 of good companies to work with in India. HCL, CSC, Birlasoft, Infogain, Patni, u can name n number of cos like this ................

I am still puzzled why you require a company list.

    Check this site

    http://www.nasscom.in

  • Don't go to HCL. My old company outsourced to HCL, they had the worst developers.

  • You cant find a better one than Microsoft Corporation.

  • (1) It is difficult to know about the project in which they will allocate after you are recruited into the company. That is the key point.

You need to get this clarified from the HR during the final Call.

    (2) Regarding SQL Server DBA, the good companies which have projects always and have a unique practice in DBA are:

    (A) IBM

    (B) Wipro

    (C) Patni

    (D) CSC

Indian companies are better than foreign atleast in terms of retaining the jobs it might help.

What is your qualification? How many years of experience do you have?

If you have exp less than 3 yrs, try to concentrate more on SSRS, SSIS and SSAS. Now a days DBAs are required for those activities and can see a lot of requirements.

    Regards

    Thanks.

  • My advice would be to research some of the jobsites that are popular in India.

I would say you could go through sites such as monster.com, craigslist international, or other sites that are based out of India.

I read about a friend who traveled all the way to India from the states just to take a job at a company called Satyam.

I am not sure of the caliber of this company, but it must be pretty prestigious for her to up and leave to take the job there.

You could also try Microsoft, I believe that they do have companies based in India.

Heh... beware the companies with the "Highest Number Position Opened in a Year". They may have that status because people can't stand working there. 😉

Heh... be careful. You might want to spend a little time with the dictionary and look up the words "slander" and "liable". 😛
