Before installing SQL Server Developer Edition....?

    Before installing SQL Server Developer Edition on your home PC for the first time, is there anything else that should be installed prior to this to ensure a successful installation?

    There might be some .NET frameworks you need, the installer will run a prerequisite check before the install anyway.

    Any patched up to date Windows install should be fine 🙂
