Hello everyone,
We run Microsoft's CRM which uses Full Text Catalog and we back the databases up with Redgate's SQLBackup. Is there something special that needs to be done to backup a database that uses Full Text Catalog? Is there something special for restoring these databases? I have never dealt with Full Text Catalogs before, so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

BTW - this is running under SQL Server 2005.

After further research, I found that SQLServer 2005 backups include the full text catalog location and files. When restoring to a different location, you just add the full text catalog as you would any database files to the restore script.

Have you tested it yet? Another compression product, not Red Gate, had some real problems with a restore of a full-text index to another location last time we tried it - that was some time ago though...

Yes, it was tested and worked just fine. No problems with the application after the restore and testing went fine.
