Would it be possible to backup sql server data and program files on a tape? I have sql server and webserver on 1 machine.
I was going to try and backup all that on 1 tape using sql server backups for sql server and using standard windows backup for the program files but I never tried anything like this and was wondering if it should work or not? Not to worry my sql server db is rather small(500 mb of data) and program files (~15 mb).

You may encounter problem when try to backup the SQL Server databases that are being used. In order to backup open files like databases, you need OFM (open file manager) that is a component of most backup softwares.
Or perform database backup to your local disk and use NT backup to backup the dataabses backup files and exclude the open database files.

Not sure why'd you'd want program files. Easily installed on any servers. The important data is in the data backups.
