hi friends
i am checking the backup size of database after complete the backup through T sql , i geting size of each db but when i checking db size Right click Backup file and click Properties that time size is coming different
please check screenshot in attachment
ex
T-sql size --897399808
Backup file properties---897401344
please help me why this difference

Size on disk will be larger than the size reported back as it is taking the sectors actually allocated on disk into account. As for the Windows size and what SQL is reporting being different, not sure. I wonder if Windows is taking any file header information into account that does not get reported by SQL?
I would be interested in the answer to this as well.
