Hello:
I am in the process of adding/updating maintenance plans on 200+ MS SQL Servers and was wondering if there is a way to create a single backup report - success and failure along with last backup date and time.
I was hoping to leverage powershell on a utility box to collect and output this data from all servers to a text file that can then be emailed to me.
I came across http://www.sql-server-pro.com/powershell-backup-check.html but am not sure how to make this work as I have little to no experience with PS scripting.
I would rather not get an email for each database on each instance on each SQL Server. That will simply flood my inbox.
Any ideas? Has anyone implemented something similar?
Thanks,
