backup problem

    I have very wired problem

    I schedule my back up at 3:00 AM everyday.and it store backup to different server.

    now last 7-10 days I notice, there is one more schedule for same backup and dump into Virtual_Drive and its physical device name something like

    58e156c7-d753-4457-82b4-2a149c91e585

    44383b7d-5de6-4d40-95e7-078d6fb997c0

    da5051d4-eb95-43d3-9446-ea5a44ab8e16

    This number or name will keep changing everytime

    so what was this?

    please help me to understand.

    If the job is there somebody or something put it there. Check the job, try to figure out who owns it and what exactly does.

    Looks to me like somebody is taking a personal backup of the data.

    Monitor the system at 23:40 - see from where the process is connecting to the system.

    Yes the Maintainance Plan is good at running 3:00 am everyday

    and its physical device name is the disk address what i am pointing for backup

    but i don't know what is that 58e156c7-d753-4457-82b4-2a149c91e585 for physical device name(it called as virtual drive) which will running at 23:40 everyday.

    I can't see in the list of schedule.
