Hi
We had received the following error while backup is running on tape drives. The below is the following error we had observed
Error:
BackupVirtualDeviceFile::RequestDurableMedia: Flush failure on backup device 'TDPSQL-00001D1C-0000'. Operating system error 995(The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request.).
Backups are running on Tape drive.
we are running SQL Server 2005 SP3

Thanks for the reply.
The issue is not happening regularly. Today backup is completed successfull without any issues.
So guide me whether to go ahed with the fix or not?

As the job is completed successfully today, i would recommend 'NOT' to go with this hotfix.
There might be other factors causing this intermittent issue.
Check with your backup team whether the space is full on the backup drive or not during the job failed time?
