Most likely you are having network problems...too much happening on the network.
You could also check what's happening on the computer with SQL Server. CTRL-ALT-DEL and find Task Manager. Is your CPU usage high when you do the backups?
This is difficult for us to help solve as we aren't there and it's most likely a network problem.

Hi,
Thanks for replay.
Log shipping is implemented(15' ) and I administered remote the server.
Sysadmin suspected that SQl server is quilty for delay( he made backup of windows ,too)the problem is intermitent, some day was fine and some days awfully.the started hour is 2 am and log shipping had influence for this delay?

I don't use log shipping, but if it is running at the same time your backup is running, then YES that's most likely the problem.
How to test? Change the time of the backup to a time that you are not doing the log shipping. If it backs up quickly, then you know the log shipping and backup can't run together.
