Backup - general tab

    Dear All

    On General tab of backup screen in SMMS we have Destination. Here we can add multiple files (assuming we selected back up to disk). This creates a media set correct?

    Does this means that the backup is split into many files?

    Yes, the backup is striped over all the specified files.

    And you'll need each and every one of those files to restore the database.
