    Q:

    Can BackupExec backup agent break the SQL server 2005 local or native transactional backup files link everytime it runs?

    Yes. If Backup Exec is backing up the same database as you are doing with native SQL Server commands, then yes you are going to have a problem.

    Let's say you do a SQL Server full backup at midnight, tlog backups every hour and a Backup Exec full backup at noon. All of the tlog backups made after noon belong to the Backup Exec full backup even though they were made by SQL Server.
