Backup errors

I am having trouble with 2 tasks:
Check Data and Index Linkage - error:[microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server] Repair statement not processed. Database needs to be in single user mode.
Backup Transaction Log - Backup cannot be performed on this database. This subtask is ignored.
The full backup runs fine though, I don't understand these errors. Any help is greatly appreciated!

My first question is what database are you trying to run this maintaenace plan against?
The first error is due to the fact that the database could not be placed in to single user mode, propably because there are users still attached to the database. This could also mean there are active scheduled jobs running.
The second error indicates that the database is in simple recovery mode. In that mode, transaction log backups can not be completed as the transaction log is truncated as transactions are checkpointed (written to the database).

It's a surf control web filter database. There is only one user specified for it, I'll have to check on him being attached, and check the jobs running on it.
It is in simple recovery mode, can't believe I missed that one!
