hi i use sql 2000 server and windows 2003 standard server. i have problem, when i open the backup or open the database in sql server, i see this error message "error 0: cannot load the dll, xpstar.dll .. reason 5 (Access denied)"

Initial thoughts would be, you dont have access, but please could you provide more information?
do you have sufficient access, what type etc...

You have permissions errors occurring. How are you trying to open the file? I mean what are you trying to do here?

I'm trying to take backup for the database.

Ask the sysadmin to provide you account with sufficient permissions to make backups/select.

Hi,
All permissions are set please provide info we need to give any special permissions on server, the error comes if logged in through admin account.

It is a permissions error. Likely you have a problem with the client or your account having permissions to the tool.
Can you use your account and run a backup from another machine?
