  Hello everyone

  I need to transfer a database configured on alwayson from one datacenter to another What would be the best practice to back up this database in other words, should I remove my database from alwayson before doing l save operation?

  Hi,

  you should take your backup withour removing a database from your aoag.

  Take a look at your configuration, maybe it is possible to take the backup from the secondary node.

  PS: if you try to restore a database on an always on availibility group, than you have to remove the database from the aoag.
