Backing up File Folders sitting on Server

    Can SSMS 2005 backup file folders thats sitting on the Server? I have a folder where scanned documents are sitting and would like to have a backup just in case the folder gets deleted or modified by accident.

    SQL Server only has the abillty to create SQL Server database backups. What you need is a file system backup. I would recommend working with your network or server administrator to get this done. Just an FYI...it is not a good practice to use your database server as a file server. If your image files are sitting on the SQL box, I'd get them off of there!
