Backing Up a SQL Server user database using Enterprise manager

  Guys,

  I am a newbie to SQL Server as you will probably guess from this question

  I hace set a SQL server with 2 user databases. I have been told how to set the job up to back up the system databases but do not know how to set the backup job (i.e. command) for the user databases - I just need the command as I have set the schedule and everything else up. Is there a wizard to help or can you point me in the right direction please?

  1. Right-click on a database.

  2.  Go to All Tasks.

  3.  Choose Maintenance Plan. 

  4.  Follow the instructions.    It will even let you schedule it.

   

  You should read Books Online.  It has all kinds of information like this and comes with SQL Server free.
