Back up failures!! urgent!! plz

    SQL 2000 back up fails and does not back up any database,

    it starts working after restarting the server?

    it also states that downgrading back up buffer from 960K to 64 K

    Any solution Please.!!

    Probably problem with Sql Server Agent.

    Most of the time Stop and Start of Agent clears issues such as this one.

    First a few questions:

    • Are you running backups through the SQL Agent ?
    • Is your backup performed via a SQL Maintenance Plan or your own TSQL ?
    • Can you post the exact error output ?
