avoid the failure alerts from decommisioned server

    yes, we are getting the alerts from server xyz like

    <xyz>backup job failed from XYZ server.

    please asist how to aviod those alerts from XYZ server.

    1) Learn your environment and find the system sending the message and get it to stop trying to do backups. We are not clairvoyant.

    2) Go into outlook. In Tools, go to Rules and Alerts... Click New Rule..., and use the subject line of the email to describe the 'delete a conversation' option. Click on 'specific words' down below, and type in the alert message's subject line. Click Finish. You won't see it again.
