Hi,
I was trying to automate our dataload procedure, so that it will use DTS packages instead of sql scripts. We will load the data every week. We have written some stored procedures for loading the data. One of the stored procedures check whether the data exists for one week. If it is, then it will return zero else it will return some other number. I have to continue loading the data only if the value is zero. how can I achieve this using DTS? One more question is we have several stored procedures(which will contain select statements) which will return data. Based on that data, we will decide whether we need to continue or not. Is there a way to check the data? for example, suppose a select statement returns 10 rows. We need to be able to display the data while running the package and it should have buttons like continue and cancel. and we will get the date when the data was loaded. If it is not what we expected we need to cancel the execution of package else we need to continue. How can I do that?
Thanks,
Sridhar!!
