This sounds weired to me. I have a backup job which backsup all databases in the server on to network drive. I never had any error mesg in the sheduled job but still the job is not completely done. It backs up databases alphabetically and every time backups are done upto model database and the rest are not backed up after model. I have to run the backup script again to backup databases > model.
this happens to all my servers not just one. What might be the reason.

What kind of backups are being done, and what are the recovery models of the databases that succeed , and for the model database as well?

All are full backups and the databases are in simple mode.

Did you contact Quest? Their helpdesk has been very good, for me, in the past. Do you have enough disk on your destination? Can you post the backup script?
