automate SQL server express 2005 remote connection

    HI There,

    How can I programmatically change the setting in SQL Surface Area Configuration -> Remote Connections to use TCP/IP and named pipes?

    is there a way to do this using SMO's or otherwise

    any suggestions/comments ?

    There is a command line utility SAC - you can export and import settings using that - Ii'm not sure if its available in the Express edition though, See if SAC.EXE is available in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Shared
