Hi,
I am planning to install SQL Server auditing. I want to store my log info to the security Log.
when i setup the server audit. i had mentioned the path to a security log . I had created the database specification also.
I had enabled both the instance audit and database audit. but when i do the DML activity. i was not able to capture the events to the security log. i had setup my audit events to capture dml events in the database . I had choosen the user as public. that should allow all of the users.Nothing is recorded to the security Log.
I am using SQL Server 2008 r2 ent edition 64 bit RTM on server 2008 r2 64 bit sp1.
when i use to log the audit to file. it records everthing . I can see it in Logs. but when i go to the file i can't see records inside.
My main requirement is to store the events to a security log file . If the DML activity is recorded to the security logs then i can go there and watch the information.
Can you please help me.
Thank You,
