Asterix in Database Diagram

    In my Sql Server 2000 Database Diagram there is an asterix (*) next to the table name. What does this mean?

    It means the table has been altered in the diagram but the diagram has not been saved.

    Far away is close at hand in the images of elsewhere.

    Sorry to be picky, but Asterix is the much beloved character in the French comic books "Asterix & Obelix".  You can get English versions.   I think you meant asterisk.

    Given the comical data designs I've seen at work (and here).....I'm surprised somebody hasn't made an emoticon linking the character and the work....!
