Hi,
In configuration manager, Procotols for "InstanceName" > TCP All
When assigning a static port, what rules govern which IP address I can set as static? Obviously I can't use a port that's in use, but what other restrictions?
For example, could I use the currently assigned Dynamic Port and set it as static? Would that cause any issues?

Usually that will work. You'd generally want to work through this with whoever is managing the network since it does impact that area. You can find some tips about using non-standard ports (there are various things to consider) in this article:
