ASPDBNET help

  • Hi everybody,

I need to copy ASPDBNET from dev server to production which is in the same network. Is there any way to do it using SQL Server Management Studio? Or I have to find where that .mdf file is located physically, copy it, then created ASPDBNET db on the production server, create user/password and attach an .mdf file from the dev server?

What is the best way to do it?

    Thanks!

  • It is in the data subfolder of the Microsoft SQL Server folder in the C drive of the server where SQL Server is located, you need admin level permissions in Windows to access the folder.  You can also send me an email Caddre@hotmail.com and I can send you a .bak of my local version without data.   Another option is look in your .NET folder in the C drive there is an exe you can click to create a new one for you.  Hope this helps.

    Kind regards,
