I'm being asked to install IIS on SQL Server 2005 to support Web Services. I'm wondering if there are any issues with doing this? Our environment:
- Database Server support 20+/- applicaitions
- Can't use Native XML Web Services because of System.Reflection name space are not supported.
I'm looking for some advice from you guys. If you have some white papers to backup your opinion I would like those, so I can read more to understand the pros and cons of installing IIS on our web server.

There is no problem installing IIS on SQL server 2005. IIS is required to intall REPORTING SERVICES...
IIS 5.0 or later is required for Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services (SSRS) installations.

I kind of thought there where some security issues with installing IIS on a SQL Server machine. Am I wrong in thinking this?
Is IIS required if you install Reporting Services on an IIS machine, and only use sql server for the reporting services databases? Also does this two box configuration for SQL Server require additional licenses SQL Server licenses for the IIS machine even though SQL Server is not installed on that machine.

I don't think you required when you install RS on IIS box but you do need licence if you install RS on a non-sql server box.
All components (AS,RS,SSIS) of sql server are free when you install with sql server othere wise you have to pay seperate lincence fees
