Paul - did you notice the scores and so forth on that site?
Somehow you and I have been getting points there for something.

Oh - I hadn't logged on because my registration kicked back an error message and hadn't retried. But that makes sense since I got an email from them about ten minutes after I tried to register.

Unbelievable. Have you sent him a friendly cease and desist yet?I have indeed. Hopefully the site administrators will do the decent thing.
This link http://www.hyderabadtechies.info/index.php/articles/39-articles?start=280 goes to the articles pages, sorted by author, with the page for this "author". Looks like ALL of his articles were lifted.
In addition to Paul's two articles, and mine, this one was also lifted from SSC:
http://www.hyderabadtechies.info/index.php/articles/39-articles/707-hyderabad-techies-article
vs.
http://www.sqlservercentral.com/articles/Date+Manipulation/69694/
While I was looking at these, Paul's articles have been removed from the site.

Not just his articles. I just checked a bunch of the .NET articles, and some other SQL Server stuff. It's all plagiarized. The entire site is a sham.

Thank you Jason.
I have just received a very apologetic email from the site administrator. He has promised to take down the offending content and 'warn the user'. I'll be sure to check!
He's been emailed. I mentioned that I charge $10,000 USD per hour for un-authorized publication of my articles, and suggested that he pay up or remove the articles from his web site.
I also mentioned that this "author" has plagiarized every article that he has "written" and "published" on this web site, and that they should all be immediately removed.

I am really awe struck still at the comprehensive plagiarism on that site. Steve should also say something since SSC has the rights to some of those articles still.

I'm convinced that it's a cultural thing. Apparently in Indian culture it's okay to copy someone else's work. I can only remember a single non-Indian plagiarist in the SQL Server world in the past 8 years since I've been paying attention (John Dunleavy). And there must have been at least 20 Indians in that time, including the guy who published the book (Rahul Sharma), and another guy whose name I won't mention, who was presenting one of my talks at user groups all over the US without my permission (but he did put my name in a very small font on the title slide ... :-P). Not saying all Indians are plagiarists, but there is absolutely a pattern here.

I guess one way to look at it is that it could be deemed as flattery.
I am glad I have nothing out there that I have found yet to be plagiarized.:w00t:

Just got a bounce-back on my email... "The e-mail message could not be delivered because the user's mailfolder is full."
Wonder why?

My bounce-back was sent to the email address that was in the web site's contact page, not the gmail that Paul mentioned earlier. I've re-mailed it to him... we'll see what happens.
I also checked all of my other articles. I found one other article (on a different site) that was copied... well, they did change the word "Wayne" to "buddy", but otherwise it was identical. And I found several links on various web sites to the article on SSC.
